I brought my car over there thinking the worst since I've taken it and had it repaired 10 times at another shop in 5 months and the check engine light still came on. I don’t usually take the time to write reviews. I should do it more often. I started my car yesterday and when I put the car in gear it sounded like the transmission fell to the ground. Brought it to a local mechanic who said that it was an internal problem and that I needed to get it to a transmission shop. He recommended Cottman. I was so certain that I was looking at a very expensive transmission repair or replacement. My car was towed to the shop at 8, I got the call from the shop by 11:00 and they said that I only needed a new switch and as it turned out, a rat or squirrel chewed through a wire. Brought My car in for a transmission flush and was told it was completely free to check. After deciding $600 was out of my budget for a flush, I told them I would have pep boys do it for $179. I was then told I would be charged $121 for labor and materials and we proceeded to argue about the check being free and how they should have called and confirmed before doing anything that would lead to a charge. Had a wonderful experience! As a first time car owner and new driver I was very nervous about going to a new mechanic. A good friend recommended this place and I’m glad I went ! Tod the service manager was warm and friendly and immediately put me at ease ! Jason and Troy were wonderful and very professional, they never made me feel like they were going to add unnecessary charges! They fixed an oil leak for me and got me back on the road ! Very affordable, highly recommend and will go back for all my future maintenance needs .
